I spent the day with 3 beautiful friends of mine :-D. First stop, Piazza; where we had a few glasses of Chapman and Pizza. Later on, we went to see a movie (Baggage Claim) at Genesis Deluxe Cinema. And then i had to scurry home cause my papi gave me a curfew :-(, at age NINETEEN! Oh well, life’s in stages… This too shall pass 😉

Anyways, here are photographs from the big day!

Current Shoe Craving: Louboutin Collection of Color-Match Pumps For All Skin Tones

Hey Darlns!

I do hope your weekend has been splendid and you’re all well rested to take on the new week ahead… 😀

Now, Christian Louboutin is a name ‘everyone’ knows, literally. I mean, you see a fashionista or a dapper dude’s rear view and you can’t miss the signature ‘red sole’. 😎

I already told you how much i love shoes here (well, maybe not enough). I love these shoes not because they are ‘designer’; i love them because they are beautiful, classy, sophisticated and chic. There’s a pair for ANY and EVERY woman!

Anyways, i’ll get right down to it. Christian Louboutin has unveiled another collection of these red-soled pumps that are designed to “disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of [the leg].”

The range will offer their Pigalle, Fifi, Simple, Vendome, and Flo styles in shades from the fairest of fair to the deepest tones that women happen to come in. In order to find your perfect match, Louboutin has created an app allowing users to find their shade by taking a photo of their foot. (How cool is that?!) 😀

The collection is due to hit stores this month. Lord bless the time of day Louboutin came up with this! Most women don’t fall into the pinkish-beige shade retailers and ‘those who seem to have a say’ in the industry inaccurately describe as “nude”. It’s so nice to see an established and quality shoe brand, that every woman loves 😉 , attempting to accommodate more women who might want the nude look, but are too fair or too dark for most of the options provided in the market today.

Lord, be a provider for this young woman with a meager allowance so that she can own a pair of these beauties, AMEN. Can i get an Amen, people? lol 🙂 😉

So which of you awesome ladies is gonna get one? Or which of you fly young men is gonna get one for that wonderful woman in your life? 😉

Mojito Shoe Collection – Next Generation of Shoes

Hey Beautiful People!

I Love SHOES!!! I think shoes are the best things to happen to fashion, since fashion! 😉

Shoes complete your outfit, believe it or believe it! 😉 It’s like the perfect topping on pizza. 😀

I was surfing the net for great stuff to bring to you, my wonderful readers; i saw a photo of this shoe and it literally called out to me. Meet the Mojito shoe… *drumroll*

mojito5

The Mojito shoe is the creation of architect Julian Hakes. He says the design happened by accident when he was trying to figure out what parts of the shoe are needed to support and protect the foot. By wrapping tracing paper around his own foot and exploring different design options, he realized that a shoe really only needs to support the heel and the ball of the foot. Everything else is extra. And so the original mojito shoe was born, an ingenious design made from a single strip that wraps around the foot, named because the prototype resembled the spiral curl of lime found in a mojito cocktail (I haven’t had one of those though so i wouldn’t know if they are as good as this shoe looks.)

The original Mojito shoe prototype, shown below, was possible because of the materials it was made from: carbon fiber laminated with rubber on the floor side and leather on the side that touches the foot. The carbon fiber gives it both the strength to support a person’s weight, and the springiness necessary for movement. Here is the view from above…

I would love to rock a pair but seeing as i haven’t attained that level financially [a pair goes for about $154 upwards 😉 ], i’d have to ‘save’ to get one.

Hello Acne, Bye Acne

Hello darlns!

A few days ago, my ‘miracle set’, as i like to call it ;-), got delivered. I call it my miracle set because it did quite a lot of work clearing my acne problems.

DSC02702

Before 2008, i used to walk around with big zits on my face and annoying black heads (maybe few people who knew me back then, noticed. Or not).

Anyways, i traveled to for vacation in 2008 and my aunt took one look @ my face and went, ” 😮 Why is your face covered with that?!” The next day, she got me Mary Kay’s Facial cleanser, Light-weight moisturizer, blemish control toner and acne treatment gel.

DSC02703

After about a month of using it, i saw wonderful changes. I would have loved to show you “before and after” pictures but i don’t have any close-up pictures for you to appreciate (pardonne-moi).

The active ingredients are Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. They are both recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and U.S. dermatologists as effective acne-fighting ingredients.

HOW DO THEY WORK?

  • Salicylic acid acts like an exfoliant to promote the easy removal of dead skin cells. As such, it helps keep pores unclogged and reduce the buildup of P. acnes bacteria.
  • Benzoyl peroxide (BPO), on the other hand, is an oxygen-releasing ingredient that kills bacteria. P. acnes bacteria flourish when there’s a lack of oxygen, like in a clogged pore. By creating an oxygen-rich environment, BPO can help reduce the number of P. acnes bacteria that can cause lesions to form. It also can help in dissolving the buildup of dead skin cells.

The combination of these ingredients attacks acne in multiple ways to not only help clear up existing acne but also help keep future acne from forming in the first place.

If you already have a product you use, please check for these ingredients or if you are planning to get one, do look out for these key ingredients.

Finally, be consistent and positive about the results. 😉

xoxo
